What is a thing you love about paper and papermaking?
I love to feel the different textures and unusual papers whenever I find them and the diverse ways they can be used in my works.
Where do you make paper? Do you make paper by yourself or with a group?
Unfortunately I don’t make the paper myself and am so grateful others do so I can buy it.
What do you like to do with your paper once it’s made?
I create mixed media paintings using various handmade papers and fabrics- the texture, strength yet delicacies of it add a wonderful dimension to work with.
Tell us your favorite Arnold Grummer product and how you first learned about the company.
Just ordered some Angel Wings petals & so glad to find them here; have been using them for a new series “The Dancing Flowers” which are mixed media on linen, mostly Angel Wings & acrylic. Learned about the company from the Paper on the River Show.
Share a thought, bit of advice, or encouragement for someone interested in trying papermaking.
Paper is so wonderful to feel and work with, I encourage & admire those that can take the time to actually make the papers. It is a fabulous material to include in any artworks.
